<P>Exactly one month before his new album, <a href="/news/articles/1682140/usher-looking-for-myself.jhtml"><i>Looking 4 Myself</a>,</i> hits shelves, the wheels of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a>'s promotional wagon gained momentum when the entertainer provided America with a set of contrasting performances and chuckles during this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" episode, which was hosted by "SNL" alum Will Ferrell.</P><P>Rocking simple black jeans, a jacket and tee, and a faux hawk, Ursh looked vibrant and energetic as he performed his brand-new single "Scream." Unlike previous expertly choreographed numbers for his dance tunes, the sunglass-donning singer showed off minimal, but nonetheless slick, moves, while his band and two backup singers filled his Studio 8 back stage.</P><P><object width="460" height="260"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/U94NsydHnYe4qA61SBc-bw/424/3531/i1411"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/U94NsydHnYe4qA61SBc-bw/424/3531/i1411" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="460" height="260" allowFullScreen="true"></embed></object></P><P>"We at it again, 'SNL,' and this time we going to make you scream," he told the crowd at the start of the energetic cut.</P><P>His second performance was for the Diplo-produced cut "Climax," during which the singer showed off his sensual and smooth side. Clearing the area of his accompanying singers, Usher made his smooth falsetto the forefront of the number. It was a simple, authentic rendition of the hit song that was essential proof of his multi-faceted vocal talents.</P><P>In addition to his set of performances, the ATL singer appeared alongside Ferrell in the "2012 Funkytown Debate" skit, in which he played a character named Galactic Fantastic. Dressed in some sparkling duds and an oversized afro, the R&B entertainer played a wacky sidekick who brought in his singing voice to support Farrell's side of the grooving song debate.</P><P>Usher got even more airtime when he was joined by Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Michael Bolton, Will Ferrell and Natalie Portman, who all made cameos in the episode's special 100th Digital Short. Paying tribute to some of the most popular Shorts like "Di– in a Box" and "Shy Ronnie," Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and the Biebs most fittingly put on a big-time celebration with accompanying jingle. It was an all-star affair and brought back some major giggles &#8212; especially when JT and Portman reprised their original Short roles.</P><P>To add to the night's surprises, Liam Neeson popped up during a "Weekend Update" segment for the Nicolas Cage parody "Get in the Cage." Neeson's upcoming summer flick "Battleship" was the main topic of conversation, with Samberg, as Cage, asking his usual "How am <i>I</i> not in that movie?!" Samberg went on to babble jealous nonsense about Neeson's other flicks in his spot-on Cage impersonation.</P><P>Like <a href="/news/articles/1684560/rihanna-saturday-night-live-performance.jhtml">last week's musical guest Rihanna</a>, Mr. Raymond's gig on the late-night sketch show marks his third appearance. And it's one of the many stops that the singer will make to promote his upcoming project. He's set to kick off the "Today" show's summer concert series on Friday, perform at the <a href="/news/articles/1684239/usher-kelly-clarkson-billboard-music-awards.jhtml">Billboard Music Awards</a> on May 20 and head overseas for Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012 in London in early June.</P><P>Mick Jagger will perform double duty as host and musical guest on next week's "Saturday Night Live" season finale.</P><P><i>What did you think of Usher's "SNL" performances? <P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> kicked off the "Today" show's summer concert series Friday morning (May 18) in front of a lively crowd. Fans filled midtown Manhattan's Rockefeller Plaza to watch the ATL singer serenade them with singles off of his upcoming album <i>Looking 4 Myself.</i></P><P>Even though Usher performed bright and early, there was no shortage of energy as the singer rocked the crowd with his new hits "OMG," "Without U" and new hits "Climax" and "Scream." The audience stayed on their feet as Usher soulfully connected to fans (especially when he removed his jacket).</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher Gets The Party Moving On 'Today' With 'Without U'" id="vid:770400" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>On Wednesday's <link type="content" id="1685266">"MTV First: Usher," the R&B superstar debuted his new track "Twisted" featuring Pharrell and opened up to host Sway Calloway about how <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> is "all about evolution." "All of my career is kind of an unveiling, an unfolding story, and it ain't done. There's so much more that I'm going to do, so much that I've now just been interested in and been introduced to," he said. "I just want that experience of having this very monogamous relationship with entertainment and acting in a way where I can really, really focus and become better."</P><P>Other acts that will follow Usher on the "Today" summer concert series include Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Pitbull, Chris Brown and the soon-to-be-picked <link type="content" id="1486475">"American Idol"</link> winner and runner-up.</P><P>The concerts will occur every Friday morning for the remainder of the summer. KStew wants to ‘get together really weird, freaky actor people’ for the Nick Cassavetes-directed film, her first producer credit.

Kristen Stewart might be the light in the darkness of “Snow White and the Huntsman,” but in her next film, “Cali,” Stewart is fully embracing the unsavory. The Nick Cassavetes-directed flick is expected to shoot this summer and, from the looks of it, it exists in a world that couldn’t be farther from the fairytale world of “Snow White.”

“Hopefully after all of this we can go and we can do it in the summer, like lock ourselves away for a few weeks in the Valley [in L.A.] in a little production office and get together really weird, freaky actor people,” she told MTV News. “It’s filled with like the coolest characters.”

The film centers on Mya (Stewart) and Chris, a couple from San Fernando Valley who sell a fake snuff film and disappear with the money. But Mya, who’s thought to be dead, must head back to Cali years later to save the younger sister she left behind. When she and Chris return, they’re faced with an array of characters, including “angry former business partners, homicidal porn stars, stoner vet techs [and] an unstoppable killing machine in a cowboy hat.” Michael Diliberti (“30 Minutes or Less”) wrote the script.

“I’m from the Valley. It’s been a while since we captured that world and it’s super extreme, everything about it. I think it’s like, it’s extremely violent, it’s extremely funny, extremely emotional,” she explained about the film, which will be Stewart’s first producer credit. “But all very kind of, not hard to watch, but real.”

Until she gets real in “Cali,” KStew will close the “Twilight” chapter of her career when “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ opens this November. She’s expected to hit up the Cannes Film Festival to premiere “On the Road,” in which she’ll showing another real side of herself when she appears nude.

“I wasn’t scared, honestly,” Stewart told MTV News of the sex scenes, including a ménage à trois with co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley.

“It’s kind of insane to watch now. I’m like, ‘Who is that?’ But I think — as every actress says when they do this is — it just felt so right,” she said. “It was so within a different world and so within a different environment that I don’t even really feel — I mean, I am personally connected to it, of course — but it is something outside of myself.”

Singer’s first Believe single sells more than 500,000 copies in its first week.

After dropping last Monday, the song has sold 520,000 downloads in its first week.</P><P>The number is particularly meaningful since it places him at #2 in all-time first-week singles sales. Flo Rida's track "Right Round," featuring a then up-and-coming Ke$ha, has the Biebs beat, according to <a href="http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi" target="_blank">Hits Daily Double</a>. Flo's track sits at #1 with 636,000 units moved. "The concept of this video, I mean it's not like a steady concept," he explained to MTV News on the Cali-based set in between shots. "It's not like 'Justin follows this girl to this spot.' No, it's a bunch of amazing scenes: Like a fire scene, we have an ice scene.</P><P>"It's kind of like bouncing back and forth," he said. "And then there's scenes of me and just a bunch of girl dancers, and just some great shots, great artistic shots, great shots of me smiling. It's fun."</p>

‘I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest,’ actress tweets in response to a tabloid report she is gay.

Raven-Symoné has taken to Twitter to address a National Enquirer report that she is gay. The tabloid published a story this week that the “Sister Act” star is currently dating “America’s Next Top Model” contestant, AzMarie Livingston, and that they are living together in New York City.

According to sources, “Raven has lost almost 30 pounds, has done a whole image makeover, and now she is the star of ‘Sister Act’ on Broadway. She’s at a point now where she doesn’t care what her family thinks, and she’s in love with AzMarie. She’s a lesbian and wants to live that way.”

The tabloid further reports that the 26-year-old’s family does not approve of her lifestyle, however, “she told her parents she loves them, but her home — especially her bedroom — is nobody’s business, and she was not going to back down, so they needed to accept it, period.”

While Raven-Symoné neither confirmed nor denied the speculation on Friday, when she took to Twitter to open up about the rumor, she did make it clear that whatever she does in her personal life is her business.

“I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest,” she tweeted. “I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. and I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”

She continued that “however that is my right as a HUMAN BEing whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”
